Sexually transmitted diseases

Detection of STD agents

Sexual transmitted diseases or STDs are infections and diseases transmitted primarily through sexual contact. They are spread by risky sexual behaviour, primarily promiscuity and unprotected sex. Moreover, some diseases can occur quite subtly, yet cause serious consequences. Microbiological testing will give you a clear answer as to whether you are a carrier of a sexually transmitted disease. We offer a total of 7 test variants ranging from basic to comprehensive. Their specifications are listed below on the page under Details.

If you are taking antibiotics, you must wait at least 4 weeks after the ATB has been finished before testing.

Detailed information

Sexual transmitted diseases that are transmitted exclusively through sexual contact include gonorrhoea, syphilis, soft ulcers, etc. Urogenital tract infections such as yeast, chlamydia, herpes, etc., can be caused by a variety of agents. Some diseases show specific symptoms, but others can be quite subtle, where the infected person may not be aware of the disease and may unknowingly pass it on. The best protection against infection is prevention, either through a long-term monogamous relationship or through protected sexual intercourse and regular preventive check-ups.

It is advisable to take the test 1-3 weeks after risky contact. As with many other diseases, early diagnosis and subsequent treatment is important for STDs. Especially for syphilis, gonorrhoea and HIV. The STD test detects the presence of the DNA of pathogens of selected sexually transmitted disease agents responsible for genital or urological infections, namely: Human papillomaviruses, determining whether they are high-risk HPV-HR or lower-risk HPV-LR groups; herpesviruses (HSV), determining whether they are HSV1 or HSV2; Chlamydia trachomatis, which can cause infertility in women if chronic; Treponema pallidum, which causes syphilis; and Neisseria gonorrhoeae, which causes gonorrhoea.

STD VAGINAL includes testing for Gardnerella vaginalis, Candida albicans. The sample for analysis is obtained by swabbing.

STD BASIC test includes testing for: HIV, Treponema palladium (Syphilis) and Hepatitis C. The sample for analysis is obtained by blood sampling.

STD STANDARD test includes testing for: Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae (gonorrhoea), Mycoplasma genitalium, Trichomonas vaginalis, Mycoplasma hominis, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Ureaplasma parvum. The sample for analysis is obtained by swabbing.

STD COMPLEX test includes testing for: HSV (herpes simplex virus), Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae (gonorrhoea), Mycoplasma genitalium Trichomonas vaginalis, Mycoplasma hominis, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Ureaplasma parvum, HPV (human papillomavirus). The sample for analysis is obtained by swabbing.

STD PREMIUM test includes testing for: HIV, Treponema pallidum (Syphilis), Hepatitis C, HPV (Human papillomavirus), HSV (Herpes simplex virus), Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae (gonorrhea), Mycoplasma genitalium Trichomonas vaginalis, Mycoplasma hominis, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Ureaplasma parvum. Sample for analysis is obtained by swabbing and blood sampling.

In order to maximize the detection of pathogens that cause these diseases, it is recommended to swab all of these sites. A combination of all three of these forms of sampling, along with regular testing, will provide you and your community with maximum protection from these highly contagious diseases.

For men, the collection is performed in our office by appointment with a doctor or physician, in which we will of course ensure maximum privacy and dignity during the collection.
