Detailed information
Sexual transmitted diseases that are transmitted exclusively through sexual contact include gonorrhoea, syphilis, soft ulcers, etc. Urogenital tract infections such as yeast, chlamydia, herpes, etc., can be caused by a variety of agents. Some diseases show specific symptoms, but others can be quite subtle, where the infected person may not be aware of the disease and may unknowingly pass it on. The best protection against infection is prevention, either through a long-term monogamous relationship or through protected sexual intercourse and regular preventive check-ups.
It is advisable to take the test 1-3 weeks after risky contact. As with many other diseases, early diagnosis and subsequent treatment is important for STDs. Especially for syphilis, gonorrhoea and HIV. The STD test detects the presence of the DNA of pathogens of selected sexually transmitted disease agents responsible for genital or urological infections, namely: Human papillomaviruses, determining whether they are high-risk HPV-HR or lower-risk HPV-LR groups; herpesviruses (HSV), determining whether they are HSV1 or HSV2; Chlamydia trachomatis, which can cause infertility in women if chronic; Treponema pallidum, which causes syphilis; and Neisseria gonorrhoeae, which causes gonorrhoea.
