Some cephalopods can interfere with their own RNA

Some cephalopods can edit their genetic information. This groundbreaking discovery was made recently by scientists who discovered frequent interference with the their own RNA (the information carrier of DNA) in several species of squid and octopus. Also thanks to these interventions, octopuses and other cephalopods are capable of typical color changes and instant camouflage.
