To maximize the detection of pathogens that cause these diseases, it is recommended to swab all of these sites. Combining all three of these forms of sampling, along with regular testing, will provide you and your community with maximum protection from these highly contagious diseases.
For men, the collection is performed in our office by appointment with a doctor or physician, which we will of course ensure maximum privacy and dignity during the collection.
Sexual transmitted diseases that are transmitted exclusively through sexual contact include gonorrhoea, syphilis, soft ulcers, etc. Urogenital tract infections such as yeast, chlamydia, herpes, etc., can be caused by a variety of agents. Some diseases show specific symptoms, but others can be quite subtle, where the infected person may not be aware of the disease and may unknowingly pass it on. The best protection against infection is prevention, either through a long-term monogamous relationship or through protected sexual intercourse and regular preventive check-ups.
As with many other diseases, early diagnosis and subsequent treatment are important for STDs. Especially for syphilis, gonorrhoea and HIV. The STD test detects the presence of the DNA of pathogens of selected sexually transmitted disease agents responsible for genital or urological infections, namely: Human papillomaviruses, determining whether they are high-risk HPV-HR or lower-risk HPV-LR groups; herpesviruses (HSV), determining whether they are HSV1 or HSV2; Chlamydia trachomatis, which can cause infertility in women if chronic; Treponema pallidum, which causes syphilis; and Neisseria gonorrhoeae, which causes gonorrhoea.

HOW THE TEST WORKS AND WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
After ordering the test, you will receive an email with detailed information. Depending on the chosen test, the sample required for analysis can be collected in our outpatient clinic by cervical swab for women (self-collection), urethral swab for men, rectal swab, throat swab and/or blood collection. In the case of an indication to the health insurance company, the sample will be taken by the attending gynaecologist or urologist. The result of the analysis will be communicated to you over the phone and we will discuss how you wish to send the laboratory report. In the event of a positive result, we will arrange a consultation with a doctor who will explain everything to you and recommend appropriate measures.
