MUDr. Jakub Trizuljak, Ph.D.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University in Brno, specialising in general practice. After graduating from medical school in 2011, he joined the Department of Internal Medicine, Haematology and Oncology at Brno University Hospital as a doctor. In 2015, he completed his basic internal medicine training and in 2017 he obtained specialist qualification in the field of medical genetics. In 2021, he also obtained specialist qualification in the field of haematology and transfusion medicine. In 2025, he completed his postgraduate studies in haematology at Masaryk University in Brno, thereby obtaining a PhD. The main focus of his research was on inherited disorders associated with an increased risk of haematological malignancies. In collaboration with the neuromuscular ERN centre at Brno University Hospital, he is involved in the care of patients with muscular dystrophies, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and other rare neuromuscular disorders. He currently works as a clinical geneticist at GHG Genetics and the genetic outpatient clinic at Jihlava Regional Hospital. As a senior lecturer, he has taught the subject of Clinical Genetics to medical students at the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University in Brno. He is actively involved in publishing and lecturing.
